The 19th public lecture on Lao She's literary works is scheduled to kick off at Luotuo Xiangzi Museum in Qingdao's Shinan district on Sept 17.
Lao She (1899-1966), whose real name was Shu Qingchun, is one of China's most influential authors.
The Luotuo Xiangzi Museum, which is Lao She's former residence and is located at No 12 Huangxian Road, is the first themed museum named after a literary masterpiece – Rickshaw Boy (Luotuo Xiangzi).
It was in this building where Lao She completed a number of outstanding works, such as Rickshaw Boy.
The museum launched the "Get close to Lao She" serial public lectures for free on April 23 and has since held 18 sessions.
Wu Qing, a literature appreciation and recitation expert, has been invited to interpret Lao She's works during the lectures, which have attracted many of Lao She's fans.
