The 2020 Sports Lottery Cup seaside fitness event was launched in Shinan district, Qingdao on Aug 22.

Designed to promote public exercise, the seaside fitness event consists of seven activities, including seaside walking, beach football and volleyball, and yacht racing.

By virtue of its graceful landscape, complete urban infrastructure and rich cultural resources, Shinan district aims to build the event up into a sports festival with high levels of public participation.

After the opening ceremony, the seaside walking activity began. More than 400 participants in 16 teams from Shinan's various relevant sports associations attended. The groups gave full play to their teamwork abilities and finished the tasks using brainpower, physical strength and creativity.

In the future, Shinan will continue to launch activities to boost public exercise, which will help the district build itself into a fashionable and modern international urban area.
