July 11 is Maritime Day of China, and this year's theme is "collaborative hard work to ensure smooth international logistics".
The Badaxia sub-district office in Shinan district, Qingdao organized for a group of 190 visitors including 40 local residents and 150 students from local communities to visit the Qingdao Maritime Exhibition Hall to learn about maritime safety and marine science and celebrate China's Maritime Day.
This year, due to the epidemic, the exhibition hall is only open to social organizations by appointment. Visitors are required to wear masks, show their health codes, have their temperatures taken, and register.
Lu Han, deputy secretary of the Badaxia sub-district Party committee, said that July 11 marks the 16th Maritime Day of China and the first anniversary of the opening of the Qingdao Maritime Exhibition Hall, which is the first charity site in Badaxia.
Since 2019, the exhibition hall has provided maritime safety courses for 7,500 students, received more than 13,000 visitors and published teaching materials about maritime safety and drowning prevention for primary and middle school students.
