Qingdao painter honors heroes in fight against virus

Zhuang Guiqing, vice chairman of the oil painting association in Shinan district, Qingdao, Shandong province, has created a number of artworks since the outbreak of novel coronavirus depicting the tremendous efforts of those fighting on the frontlines.
According to Zhuang, his paintings depict things he has seen in real life through oil painting, pencil sketches, watercolor, and more.
Zhuang hopes to honor those who have contributed to the fight against the virus and inspire locals to double down on efforts to defeat it.
In addition, online painting classes have also been promoted through the joint efforts of Zhuang and the local library. Zhuang has been teaching people how to paint through WeChat, and four sessions of the online class have already been broadcast.
A collection of artworks has also been created amid the virus outbreak. To date, more than 200 oil paintings, calligraphy works, and photographs have been submitted.
