Miss Tourism World contestants shine in Shinan district

Contestants of Miss Tourism World 2019 final event toured Qingdao's Shinan district on Sept 25.
The beauties, from 13 countries and regions, enjoyed several cultural and historical scenic spots such as Badaguan Scenic Area, the Museum of the Rickshaw Boy and the 1907 Light and Shadow Club and they also experienced the unique fashion genes of the district.
As an important activity during the ongoing final of Miss Tourism World 2019, the tour was an opportunity to promote Qingdao's rich tourism resources, culture and history, which range from unique scenic areas to intangible culture heritages.
The final of Miss Tourism World 2019, being held from Sept 24 – Oct 6, is sponsored by the Qingdao Municipal Cultural and Tourism Bureau and the organizing committee of Miss Tourism World, and is supervised by the local government. Contestants are from over 60 countries and regions including Russia, the United States, Brazil, Germany, Italy, and Australia. They will take part in a series of cultural activities such as photo exhibitions, fashion shows and public-spirited events.
Praised as a natural studio, Shinan's beautiful environment, picturesque landscape and ocean scenery attract over 200,000 newly-married couples to take wedding pictures each year. A total of 339 buildings in 72 national, provincial, and municipal protection units, and 58 former celebrity residences are located in the district, making it the city's tourism and cultural center. Qingdao's stylish symbols - beer and bathing beaches - also arose here.
