The Qingdao international cruise home port was opened in May 2015 and it is expected that there will be nearly 80 cruise liners using the port during 2016.
The world's largest cruise ship (225,000 dwt) can berth in the port, which has a 1200-meter-long berthing shoreline and water depth of 13 to 14 meters.
The supporting passenger transportation center covers an area of 59,000 square meters, with a clearance capacity of 3,000 to 4,000 people per hour.
