Jining city in Shandong province launched a program titled “College Students Explore Their Hometown” at Jining Medical University on Jan 17. It aims to establish strong communication channels between young professionals and their hometown, and create high-quality job opportunities for graduates.

The city organized employment and entrepreneurship activities for students to explore the charm of Jining’s urban development and encourage graduates to return and settle in their hometown for work or entrepreneurship.

During the launch ceremony, a list of special benefits for young people was unveiled. Additionally, a representative from the Jining bureau of culture and tourism introduced policies for activities such as "College Students Tour Their Hometown" and "Travel Jining with Your Parents".

Yi Junqiang, deputy director-general of the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Shandong Province, along with Li Tiandong, deputy mayor of Jining, presented returning students with passes for local scenic spots.

After the ceremony, attendees visited the student employment and entrepreneurship empowerment centers at Jining Medical University and Jining University. They also went to a special job fair for college graduates as part of the city’s Return to Nest and Bluebird Plan employment and entrepreneurship programs.
