Dongying is moving ahead with low-carbon development by integrating smart manufacturing, clean energy, and sustainable agriculture.

At ComeRiver Holdings Co Ltd in Dongying High-tech Industrial Development Zone, industrial waste gas is captured and turned into electricity through advanced clean energy technology, transforming harmful emissions into a usable energy resource.

The system is supported by an intelligent monitoring platform that allows real-time remote supervision of operations across the country, improving efficiency and maintenance. By using fully localized technology, the company supports cleaner industrial practices while expanding its reach to international markets in Europe, Africa, and Russia, contributing to significant reductions in carbon emissions.

In Niuzhuang town, geothermal energy is changing heating systems. Thirteen geothermal wells now provide clean heating to residential and public areas, covering 750,000 square meters and benefiting over 22,000 residents. Through full reinjection of geothermal water and multi-energy integration, the system saves over 34,000 metric tons of coal and reduces carbon emissions by about 80,000 tons each year.

At the Shuangfu Flower Base, geothermal energy supports 100,000 square meters of smart greenhouses producing over four million orchids annually, with growing export markets in Asia. Heating costs are reduced by over one million yuan ($147,151) per year.
