Manufacturer Dongying Tingli Robot Co Ltd – located in Dongying city, in East China's Shandong province – has officially launched its first-generation highly realistic humanoid robot at the Tingli Robot R&D Base on Dongqi Road.

The advanced android features lifelike synthetic skin and state-of-the-art bionic chips. It supports AI-driven intelligent dialogue and can perform complex motions such as squatting, walking, running and climbing stairs.

According to Liang Jie, head of the R&D center, a significant breakthrough has been achieved in enabling stable bipedal walking – a key challenge in humanoid robotics.

The robot incorporates 12 high-precision motors working in coordination to achieve micron-level accuracy in position, speed and torque control. The innovative hollow-frame skeletal design enhances both the mechanical performance and realism and it has been patented.

Company chief Xu Guochao, emphasized that unlike typical robots with their steel exteriors, this humanoid robot – or android – is designed to seamlessly integrate into human environments.

It's intended for applications including such as personalized service butlers, multilingual guides in international airports, luxury retail consultants and emotional companions – providing care, health monitoring and emergency assistance. Additionally, it offers support in healthcare, education and in industrial operations.

The company plans to release second and third-generation models focusing on energy efficiency, adaptability to extreme conditions, collaborative intelligence and creativity. It says that its open system interfaces will help foster global collaboration and accelerate the ecosystem development.

Xu stated that the robot represented not just a machine, but a new stage in harmonious human-machine coexistence – aiming to enhance daily life through intelligent companionship.
