Lyu Opera from Dongying city – located in Shandong province in East China – was demonstrated on March 31 at Kyung Hee University in Yongin city in South Korea.
The event attracted numerous South Korean students and faculty members with a keen interest in traditional Chinese culture.
It displayed Dongying's rich history and the ecological beauty of the Yellow River estuary. Highlights included a detailed introduction to Lyu Opera, its development, artistic features and unique musical style, accompanied by photography and video clips.

This was complemented by a special presentation on the fusion of traditional South Korean dance and Hanbok, the traditional clothing of South Korea.
The event represented an opportunity for Dongying to introduce its cultural heritage to South Korea, with attendees expressing their admiration of the city's scenic beauty and its Lyu Opera.
Dongying's efforts to revitalize Lyu Opera have earned it recognition, with the art form now playing a significant role in international cultural exchanges.

The event was part of Shandong's culture outreach program. On April 1, Lyu Opera will again be featured in Yangju city in South Korea, further promoting Dongying's cultural legacy.
