China ambassador to Barbados Yan Xiusheng visits Chinese medical team

On Jan 23, 2018 (local time), newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador to Barbados Yan Xiusheng led a delegation on a visit to the second Chinese medical team dispatched to Barbados. The ambassador and his delegation met with the team and heard updates on their work. He spoke highly of the team's progress over the year, and expressed his hope for future medical aid work.

Ambassador Yan visited the office of the medical team to warmly them. He commended the team on their achievements and sacrifices and pointed out that medical aid is an important part of China's diplomatic endeavors. The medical team has been honoring President Xi's solemn commitment to the Caribbean region through offering medical aid to Barbados, among other efforts, and is making great contribution to a sound relationship between China and Barbados. 

Team head Cheng Gang thanked the ambassador for his visit and appraisal, and said that the team is committed and would adhere to the medical care principles of “uphold braveness, make sacrifices, help those in need out of a love without limitations of boundaries”, seek innovations while forging ahead, demonstrate the professionalism and devotion of Chinese medical professionals, serve as diplomatic envoys, and tell the Chinese stories well.
