Early winter is when the gingko leaves are their best golden yellow in Xingyi, Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture. 

The gingko trees that stand along the roads in the city and suburb of Xingyi all turn yellow as winter awakens, attracting visitors from miles around to admire the fluttering leaves fall upon the golden carpet they weave.
