An international cross-country running race was held in Xingyi, Qianxina Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture on Nov 12.

It is the second time Xingyi has hosted the race, which was awarded the "Most Popular Cross-Country Race" at the first annual meeting of Chinese outdoor industries in 2016. 

Organized by Guizhou Provincial Sports Bureau and Qianxinan's government, the event included a 30.5 kilometer professional race, a 15-km challenge race and a seven-km experience race.

After the six-hour competition, Yang Chaohai from Yuxi, Yunnan province won the men's challenge race with an impressive time of 1 hour 37 minutes and 36 seconds. Zhao Zhongmei from Zhaotong, Yunnan province took the gold for the women's challenge race with a remarkable time of 2 hours 8 minutes and 46 seconds.
