Xingren county in Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture held different festivals at the locally famous Fangma Grassland Scenic Area on Sept 27, serving as parallel activities of the 2017 International Conference of Mountain Tourism and Outdoor Sports.

Fangma Grassland is located at the southwest of Guizhou and is 24 kilometers from Xingren County. Due to its rare and vast karst landform, the scenery in the grassland is beautiful. It consists of 1,400 hectares of grassland and 499.3 hectares of forest with thousands of sheep and cattle. 

Kite Festival

More than 30 teams from across the country participated in the kite flying competition at Fangma Grassland Scenic Area, Xingren county. There were 368 kites of different sizes and shapes and drew hundreds of visitors.

Music Festival

Dozens of Rock and Roll bands from home and abroad flocked to Xingren county for the music festival at Fangma Grassland. The bands performed throughout the day and night, bringing passion along with their music.

Light Fair

Upon the fall of the night, the scenic area was illuminated by millions of lights, dazzling the visitors. The lights were bright and were in different shapes. One visitor described the lights as the feeling of the Milky Way falling on earth. 

Lovers can take a stroll down the lit-up heart corridor at the Fangma Grassland in Xingren county.

Food Festival

A food festival also took place, serving local delicacies such as mutton rice noodles and roast tofu. The festival will last throughout the National Day holiday until Oct 8.
