Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture plans to offer subsidies of three million yuan ($454,360) in the last quarter of this year to support the development of startups and micro enterprises in the region. 

The funds will be available to 1,500 companies in the nine counties of the prefecture, and are intended to create more jobs and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. 

Some key and emerging industries including manufacturing, creative design, e-commerce and computer services will get more financial support after they have invested more than 100,000 yuan.  

Industries with ethnic characteristics such as handicrafts and featured agricultural products will also be granted more financial aid.
