The residential houses of Muzan village in the Yilong New Area of the Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, are being renovated to build the village into a better place.                                                                                                                                     

After improving the surrounding infrastructures, the village decided to enhance the outlook of residential housing by painting them in a uniform color to further improve the aesthetics in the region.

Local residents are satisfied with the renovation project. "The government has just finished improving the roads in village and are now painting our houses," said a villager Peng Mingyao. "We are living in a great era."

With a total investment of 50 million yuan ($7.66 million), the whole project covers 50 households and about 1,000 villagers. It is expected to finish by the end of October.
