Recently the Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture in Guizhou province issued a new policy permitting free entry to the prefecture's scenic areas for people over the age of 60.

Seniors in the prefecture can visit government funded scenic spots, including Wanfeng Forest, Maling River Valley, Wanfeng Lake and Double-breast Peak, free of charge.

The scenic areas will even appoint a companion to safeguard elderly visitors over 80 years old.

Qianxinan will continue to create preferential policies in medical services, tourism and public transportation for senior citizens throughout the 13th Five-year Plan (2016-2020).
