The Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture in Guizhou province was ranked among the recently released Top 10 Global Summer Resort Cities of 2017. 

The annual list is compiled by the China Institute of City Competitiveness (CICC), Asia-Pacific Environment Protection Association (APEPA), International Cultural Geography Association (ICGA), and China Public Praise Centre (CPPC).

The list contains three subordinate rankings: Summer Resort Cities, Summer Mountain Resorts and Summer Resort Counties.

Qianxinan ranked 58th among the global top 100 cities, with the Wanfeng Forest in Xingyi county listed among summer mountain resorts and Xingren county as a summer resort county.

Guizhou province had 6, 7, and 11 regions on the 2017 rankings, respectively.
