Travel agencies inked several cooperation deals during a tourism promotion event for the Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture held in the municipality of Chongqing on July 19. 

Both located in southwestern China, the two regions have rich tourism resources, which provide great potential for mutual cooperation. 

Chongqing is known as one of the hottest cities in China, with temperature often reaching 38 C between July and September, while Qianxinan has an average temperature of 17 C. 

Huang Man, vice prefecture governor of Qianxinan, noted the incomparable climate and beautiful natural valleys, mountains and karst caves of Qianxinan. The autonomous prefecture is also well-known as a health resort with good air quality all year round.

The traditional customs of Qianxinan's 35 native ethnic groups also attract tourists, with songs and dances during yearly celebrations capable of immersing visitors in the splendid local cultures.
