Home to people of the Bouyei ethinic group for hundreds of years, Xintun village in Wangmo county, Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, has been making efforts to preserve its original Bouyei culture and connect with a new tourism market. 

To keep the intangible cultural heritages alive, the Xintun village often organizes gatherings and song competitions, which also help lure more visitors. 

The village has been given the titles "hometown of Bouyei singing art" and the "most charming ethnic minority village".
