Zhenfeng county in the Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture held an evening gala on Feb 6 to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

With the theme of “Dreams Build Zhenfeng”, the evening gala brought audiences a dazzling experience.

Yang Menglong, an official from the Guizhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles, attended the gala, and with the rest of the audience was amazed by the joyous opening dance performance, Fengmao Dadi (literally meaning wealthy land).

With the help of local authorities, children from Zhenfeng county living in impoverished areas were relocated to a new place with better living conditions last year. On the evening of the gala, children representatives took the stage to write Chinese calligraphy expressing their thanks and hopes for a bright future.
