Qianxinan's three beautiful villages

Three villages in Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture recently entered the list of China’s livable and beautiful villages and towns released by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of PRC.

Throughout the whole country, 95 towns and 413 villages were on the list and 22 of them are located in Guizhou province. The following is detailed information about the three honored villages:

 

Nakong village

Nakong village is located in Xingyi’s Zhenfeng county. It lies on the bank of Sancha Lake – a national water park. Thanks to its picturique scenery and the unique culture of the Bouyei ethnic group, the village has seen rural tourism become a primary industry and the increasing number of visitors has brought significant beneifts to locals.

  

Nahui village

Nahui village is located in the center of Wanfeng Forest – Xingyi’s signature scenic spot. The origin of the village can be traced back more than 300 years. Nahui River meanders around the village, nourishing the rice paddies. 

 

Dadang village

Dadang village in Anlong county is famed for three “mysteries”. One of them is the ages of the 56 ancient trees, with the trees dating back several hundred years to more than one thousand years ago. The second is the fossils beneath the village’s topsoil, which nobody has been able to accurately date. Another mystery is that almost every man in the village practices Kong Fu, yet it is unknown when the practice originated in the area.
