It covers an area of 24,400 square meters. It was built in the Wanli era (AD 1573–1619) of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and was continuously rebuilt and reinforced in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Its general layout takes on a rectangular shape.
