Making use of its conditions and advantages, Qianxinan is endeavoring to develop the health-care industry by setting up a series of health-care centers including Anlong Country Zhaodi Lotus Garden and Pu’an Hot Spring Relaxation & Vacationing Center. To date, the prefecture has started constructing 12 health-care projects with a total investment of 25.13 billion yuan. 

In terms of the health and medicine industry, the prefecture has targeted Yilong Pilot Zone Red Star Industrial Park as a major developmental platform. At present, there are 16 enterprises stationed in the industrial park with a total investment of 2 billion yuan.

In terms of the elder care industry, Qianxinan has invested 999 million yuan into nine related projects. Each county of the prefecture has a welfare home and a health-care center. Each town has a nursing home for the aged and 47 community daytime health-care centers and 156 rural health-care homes.
