VI. Sufficient Electricity

The West-East Electricity Transmission Project originates in Qianxinan prefecture whose power system consists of southern power systems and regional power systems. Southern power systems are a combination of hydro-power and thermal power with installed capacity arriving at 6.47 million kW and electricity output reaching 28.2 billion kWh. Regional power systems can achieve 4.81 billion kWh of electricity output after completion. The regional power systems, which are authorized for independent pricing, can offer a guarantee for high energy load industries on high-capacity and high-quality electricity.

VII. Policy support

The State Council offered several policies and measures to support Qianxinan in becoming a business and logistics center, an energy, chemical, and raw material processing base, and an aboriginal ethnic culture tourism area.
