Sancha River Valley, with an area of 15 square kilometers, gets its name from the convergence of three rivers: the Mona, Zhekan and Nakong. The river itself is as large as 50 hectares. The altitude of the river surface is 1,134m. Surrounding landscape is composed of mountains, water, forest, stone, caves, islands and the valley. It is peaceful, beautiful, and simple, and has a special charm, especially in the late fall when the maple leaves turn red. This river was listed among the second group of 10 provincial-level scenic spots by the provincial government on August 28, 1990. In 2002, it was rated as a national-level conservancy scenic spot by the National Water Conservancy Ministry. With the completion of the infrastructure and increased reception capacity, more and more domestic and foreign scholars and tourists are coming to visit the river.
