Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region has been officially selected as a national pilot zone in the "Second Batch of National Data Infrastructure Construction Pioneering Projects" launched by the National Data Administration.

The initiative supports regional and sectoral development of data infrastructure through the testing of new technologies, support systems, standards, and operational mechanisms, aiming to create replicable and scalable models.

As a key national energy and strategic resource hub, Ordos possesses abundant industrial data from the coal, wind, solar, and hydrogen storage sectors, while serving as a national computing power center and core area in the "Channeling Computing Resources from the East to the West" initiative. These unique advantages make Ordos highly suited to build leading data infrastructure.

Moving forward, the city will develop the Ordos Data Infrastructure Plan, tailoring strategies to local industry needs, guiding high-quality digital economy development, and supporting the creation of a national model for market-oriented allocation of data resources.
