Ordos power project connected to grid

On July 4, Ordos' largest project retrofitting thermal power to wind power was connected to the grid in Zhasake town, Ejin Horo Banner.
The project has received 1.32 billion yuan ($183.84 million) in investment and was developed by SPIC Inner Mongolia Energy Co. It features a total installed capacity of 270 megawatts, comprising 33 turbines of 6.7 MW, six turbines of 7.0 MW, and one turbine of 6.9 MW.
The project will deliver 655 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, saving approximately 190,500 metric tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 493,000 tons.
