The 2025 Inner Mongolia Nonferrous Metals High-Quality Development Conference was held in Ordos on June 26. The event brought together over 150 representatives from government departments, industry enterprises, research institutions, and financial organizations.
With the theme "Digital Empowerment, Green and High-Quality Development," the conference aimed to implement the national Aluminum Industry High-Quality Development Implementation Plan (2025–27) and Copper Industry High-Quality Development Implementation Plan (2025–27), and promote high-quality growth across the nonferrous metals sector.
During the keynote session, Lu Jian, deputy secretary-general of the aluminum processing branch of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, delivered a report titled “Current Status and Development Trends of the Aluminum Processing Industry."
Zhang Nan, director of the heavy metals department of the association, gave a speech titled "Breaking and Reshaping: Challenges and Opportunities for the Copper, Lead, and Zinc Industries in the New Era”. Professor Liang Xuemin from Zhengzhou University shared insights on the topic "Key Energy-Saving and Carbon-Reduction Technologies and Potential in the Electrolytic Aluminum Industry.”
