2027 Asian Road Cycling Championships to be held in Ordos

For the first time in its history, the Asian Road Cycling Championships will be held in China.
The 46th edition of Asia's most influential road cycling event is scheduled to take place in Ejin Horoo Banner, Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, from May to June in 2027.
The announcement was confirmed on April 19 during the Asian Cycling Confederation's general assembly in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, following a unanimous vote by the executive committee.
First launched in the 1960s, the Asian Road Cycling Championships have become a prestigious platform for elite Asian cyclists to compete for continental honors and Olympic qualification. The event includes elite men's and women's road races and time trials, U23 competitions, and mixed team relays.
Asian Cycling Confederation President Dato Amarjit Singh Gill praised Ejin Horoo Banner's winning bid, noting that it exemplifies the spirit of "sport empowering civilization".
He highlighted not only the world-class venues and infrastructure, but also the deep cultural heritage – spanning over 4,000 years – that will bring unique character and depth to the championships. He called the event a "milestone in the history of Asian cycling".
As the host site, Ejin Horoo Banner is committed to delivering top-tier facilities, services, and logistical support. Organizers aim to stage a high-level, inclusive, and sustainable championships that will leave a lasting legacy in the region and beyond.
