The city of Ordos recently hosted a vibrant international expo, drawing crowds and commerce from around the world.
The bustling event, held within a 10,000-square-meter exhibition hall, brought together nearly 500 enterprises from China and abroad, each showcasing unique products and innovations.
In Hall A's international pavilion, cultures intertwined as an African drummer and a Mongolian long-tune singer engaged in an impromptu performance, capturing the spirit of global harmony. Meanwhile, a Pakistani jade artisan mesmerized visitors with live demonstrations of traditional stone-carving techniques.
The expo offered a rich variety of experiences, from handmade crafts, cultural collectibles, and prairie specialties to home goods, local delicacies, and duty-free items.
As a central city within the Hohhot-Baotou-Ordos-Yulin urban cluster, Ordos embraces a collaborative model of "domestic-international synergy and regional coordination", shifting from simply selling products to building recognizable brands.
Cutting-edge technology also added futuristic flair to the event: robots brewed fresh coffee, and robotic dogs interacted with visitors. AI-powered robots, some of which had previously appeared on China's Spring Festival Gala.
By blending dazzling consumer goods with advanced technology, the expo elevated the shopping experience and showcased a forward-thinking dialogue between innovation and openness. It highlighted how traditional industries can be empowered through digital transformation, offering a compelling glimpse into Ordos' expanding global "circle of friends".
