On Jan 7, 72 households in Hanggin Banner, Ordos city, were allocated affordable housing through a computerized lottery system.

Since implementing the public rental housing program, Hanggin Banner has provided housing support to over 1,430 low-income households, benefiting more than 3,500 residents.

In 2024, Ordos established a comprehensive housing security system characterized by diversified supply and multi-channel guarantees. This system focuses on public and affordable rental housing as its core, aiming to effectively address the housing needs of low-income families and new urban residents.

Ordos also intensified efforts to establish a housing guarantee system with diversified supply and multi-channel support. The city issued the Three-Year Action Plan for Accelerating the Development of Affordable Rental Housing in Ordos City and plans to build 4,597 units of affordable rental housing. These efforts will alleviate housing difficulties for new urban residents and young people.

By November 2024, Ordos had provided housing support to 34,744 urban households, showcasing its commitment to fulfilling residents’ housing dreams and creating a foundation for a stable and improved quality of life.
