The land for the Liuqingliang to Chengpo tourism road project in Juungar Banner, Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, received approval from the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional People's Government on Nov 21.
The regional government has approved the land for both planned tourism road projects in Juungar Banner, providing strong support for construction commencement.
The two tourism road projects have a total investment of 445 million yuan ($61.55 million). The routes start from the No 2 Road in Xuejiawan, pass under the Datong-Juungar Railway, and connect to the Liuqingliang to Chengpo tourism road in the east. Together, they form a crucial tourism corridor within Juungar Banner.
The projects will significantly reduce travel time between Xuejiawan and various scenic spots, such as the Baozita Ecotourism Area, the Wanjiazhai Yellow River Canyon Scenic Area, and the planned Chengpo Ecotourism Area.
This will enhance connectivity between these tourist sites, facilitate the organization of tourism routes, and promote tourism industry development along the Yellow River in eastern Juungar Banner.
These projects will also serve as key passenger and logistics corridors within the county and township road network, further improving transportation infrastructure.
This will enhance transportation efficiency, reduce logistics costs, improve external tourism traffic conditions, foster regional cooperation, and drive the optimization and upgrading of Juungar Banner’s industrial structure.
