Ordos athlete Sun Pengxiang wins silver at Paris Paralympics

Athlete Sun Pengxiang from Ordos city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region clinched a silver medal in the men's javelin F41 final with a throw of 44.72 meters at the Paris Paralympics on Sept 8.
Born in 1991, Sun stands at 137 cm due to congenital growth issues. Despite this, his passion for sports never wanes.
At 22, he began professional training at the Inner Mongolia Disabled Athletics Training Base and quickly made a name for himself in various national competitions.
Sun's Paralympic journey began in 2016 when he earned a bronze medal in Rio de Janeiro. At the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, he realized his dream of winning gold in the men's javelin F41 category and set a new world record in the process.
