A fruit-related product project officially started trial production in the Juungar Economic Development Zone in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Sept 3.

The project, with a total investment of 230 million yuan ($32.81 million) and covering an area of 100,000 square meters, will be constructed in four phases.

The first phase, now in trial production, includes three production lines.

There are three production facilities with varying annual capacities: one can produce 10,000 metric tons of sea buckthorn pulp, another can produce 30,000 tons of fruit juice beverages, and the third can generate 30,000 tons of carbonated beverages.

Once smoothly launched, the project will gradually introduce three series of products, namely local fruit juice beverages, sea buckthorn juice, and carbonated beverages.
