The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region recently held a series of business conferences to promote its primary industry.
The main venue of the conferences was in Ordos' Kangbashi district, while sub-venues were located in banners and districts within the jurisdiction of Ordos, as well as in Beijing, Shandong, Jiangsu, Sichuan and Shanxi.
Representatives from more than 100 domestic central government-owned enterprises, State-owned enterprises, private enterprises and agricultural business associations participated in the conferences through online and offline channels.
In a bid for future investment, the Ordos municipal government introduced the development advantages of its agricultural and animal husbandry industries, as well as the investment potential of its primary industry to all parties.
Ordos is located in the agricultural and animal husbandry production's "golden belt". Its clean water and soil, sufficient sunlight, and unique natural resources are optimal for agriculture and animal husbandry enterprises.
At present, the city's agriculture and animal husbandry industries have a strong momentum of development and broad prospects. Advantageous industries such as dairy, cashmere wool, beef cattle, and mutton sheep have formed there.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Ordos plans to invest 37.82 billion yuan ($5.78 billion) in 96 agricultural and animal husbandry projects, each with an investment volume of more than 10 million yuan.
