Contracts for projects costing 2.8 billion yuan ($420.11 million) were signed on July 13 in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The signatories were the Ordos High-tech Industrial Development Zone, the municipal government of the Dongsheng district of Ordos and Henderson Investment Development Group Co.

The projects involve the construction of a plant that manufactures heavy trucks driven by eco-friendly energy, a recyclable wind power blade manufacturing plant and a large physical energy storage base. They are scheduled to be built in two phases.

The first phase will include the heavy truck plant and the wind power blade plant, to cost a combined 2 billion yuan.

The heavy truck plant, costing 1.5 billion yuan, will have an annual output value of over 1.5 billion yuan and employ 200 people.

The annual income of the large-scale physical energy storage base project will top 200 million yuan and generate annual tax revenue of more than 12 million yuan, employing 100-120.

The second phase of the project includes a recyclable wind power blade manufacturing plant and a high-tech research institute, costing 800 million yuan.
