The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region recently announced an action plan to improve its business environment.
The plan includes 500 measures in total – aiming to create the best government environment, market environment, legal environment and social environment in the country.
In doing so, Ordos is expected to learn from the successful experience of Chinese first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
For example, Ordos will study the results from China's first batch of business environment innovation pilot cities – Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Chongqing – to improve its online government services.
To boost technology innovation and recruitment of top people, in the new year Ordos will further promote cooperation with Tsinghua University, Peking University, the China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) and other colleges and universities.
It will support academicians from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University and others to accelerate the commercialization of key technical research achievements and build up a group of iconic innovation teams.
According to news from the Ordos financial office, in the new year, the city will establish standards in green financing enterprise evaluation, green financing project evaluation, green financial structure evaluation and in other areas.
It will also make pilot contributions to the overall development of green finance in Inner Mongolia.
