A government delegation led Li Li, Party secretary of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, paid a visit to the city's Ejin Horoo Banner and Kangbashi district on Jan 28.

As the Spring Festival approaches, Li, on behalf of the CPC Ordos committee and Ordos municipal government, extended holiday greetings and New Year wishes to locals that have been lifted out of poverty, retired officials, firefighters and policemen.

In a herdsman's home, Li kindly asked about the man's farming income, health, employment of children, renovation of household toilets and heating in winter.

In retired official Chen Qihou's home, he inquired about his health and living conditions and told him about the current economic and social development of Ordos as well as future development plans.

Li also thanked Chen for his contributions to Ordos' development and expressed hopes that he will give more opinions and suggestions for the city's high-quality development in the future.

At the Ordos Fire Rescue Detachment, Li listened carefully to reports on team building, daily training and combat readiness, and thanked all the fire rescue personnel for their outstanding contributions in the fields of fire safety and emergency rescue.
