The concentrated brine zero-discharge technical transformation project conducted by Inner Mongolia Yitai CTO Co in Ordos city, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, recently made significant breakthroughs.
The project successfully developed the industry's leading process technologies to treat the concentrated brine produced by coal chemical plants.
After the concentrated brine is treated by lime softening and clarification, variable pore filter filtration, secondary membrane filtration and other technologies, all the water is recycled.
In addition to treating water resources, the process separates industrial grade sodium chloride and sodium sulfate, thereby realizing salt recycling.
The project was independently developed by Inner Mongolia Yitai CTO Co with an investment of 144 million yuan ($21.61 million).
The project mainly includes evaporation pretreatment workshops, evaporation crystallization workshops, ultrafiltration rooms and sulfuric acid tank areas.
It has a designed processing capacity of 61 cubic meters of concentrated brine per hour.
