Ordos districts honored as ‘all-for-one’ tourism demonstration areas

Kangbashi district in Ordos city was recently nominated as a national demonstration area for all-for-one tourism by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Meanwhile, Dongsheng district was recognized as an all-for-one tourism demonstration area at the Inner Mongolia autonomous region level.

In recent years, Ordos has successively promulgated "Several Policies and Measures for Ordos City to Support and Promote All-For-One Tourism Development," "Ordos City All-For-One Tourism Development Special Fund Use Management Measures" and "Ordos City All-For-One Tourism Development Master Plan."

These documents aim to comprehensively promote the cultural and tourism industry's high-quality development through system mechanisms, policy guarantees, public services, order and safety, resources and environment, and brand influence.

In 2019, Ordos received a total of 17.36 million tourists.

From January to November 2020, affected by the epidemic, the city received 10.94 million tourists, equivalent to 65.13 percent of tourists received during the same period last year.

In the first 11 months of this year, Ordos achieved tourism revenue of 30 billion yuan, 62.48 percent of the tourism revenue generated during the same period last year.
