Contracts covering a total of 61 projects worth 901 million yuan ($132.04 million) were signed at the third Ordos Agricultural Products Trade Fair on Sept 28. 

The deals were reached between State-owned enterprises helping poverty alleviation in Ordos city and local cooperative service agencies, aiming to increase farmers’ income by expanding marketing channels for their agricultural products.

The purchase deals are highlights of the Ordos trade fair, which is being held from Sept 28-30.

The trade fair has attracted the participation of 360 Ordos enterprises, displaying 305 kinds of products involving grain and oil, food, daily necessities, health care products and beverages. The event boasts 5,600 square meters of exhibition areas.

Other activities, such as local food tastings and product promotions, will be held during the three-day event.

Organizers stated that since the first agricultural product trade fair was successfully held in 2018, the annual event has signed 178 projects with a value of 626 million yuan.
