The China (Ordos) International Cashmere Wool Convention and Exhibition won the "Chinese Brand Exhibition Excellence Award", according to an announcement at the 2020 China Conference and Exhibition Industry Innovation and Development Conference, which was held in the megacity of Shanghai in East China on July 16-18, according to the organizers.

They said the cashmere wool event was initiated in 2018. It is annually held in Ordos city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, which is known for its high-quality output of cashmere.

The event aims to promote Ordos' cashmere products to domestic and overseas markets.

This year's event, the third time it's been held, got green light from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. 

It will be held in the Dongsheng district of Ordos city with an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters. 

The displays will include cashmere wool raw materials, cashmere wool products, traditional craftsmanship, and cultural and creative products with ethnic designs.
