Inner Mongolia Hengdong Energy Group was established in April, 2006 in Inner Mongolia Jungar Economic Development Zone -- in Ordos city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- with a registered capital of 638 million yuan ($90 million).
Located in the core areas for coal at the borders of Shanxi province, Shaanxi province and Inner Mongolia autonomous region, it is a private company mainly engaged in coal production, processing and sales.
The company has seven coal mines, including four open-pit mines, with a total area of 68.28 square kilometers. Estimated coal reserves are 532 million metric tons.
The company has a designed coal production capacity of 13.2 million tons per year.
In 2018, the company achieved sales revenue of 4.2 billion yuan, paid taxes of 1.2 billion yuan, and realized profits of 1.03 billion yuan.
Last year, the company was shortlisted for the China Energy Enterprise Top 500 list, which ranked it 284th.
It was also included in the Top 100 Private Enterprises in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for eight consecutive years and ranked 22nd in 2019.
In recent years, the company has continuously improved its environment-friendly mining technologies to achieve emission reductions and zero emissions of pollutants and waste.It has also strengthened the management and restoration of the ecological environment of its mining areas.
To date, it has completed the reclamation and greening of nearly 10,000 mu (667 hectares) of land by planting food crops, fruit trees, high-quality pastures and arbor shrubs.
