Dongsheng district, Ordos signed an 850 million yuan ($120 million) project with Inner Mongolia Jiale Data Co on Sept 18 at the 3rd Inner Mongolia Businessmen Conference held in Wuhai city, Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The deal involves the production of charging points and photovoltaic inverters, as well as big data research. It will be carried out at the Ordos Equipment Manufacturing Base. 

The goal of the project is to produce 21,000 charging piles for electric cars and provide cloud computing services for Chinese and foreign companies. 

The project is scheduled to begin in October and finish in early 2020. 

After completion, it is expected to generate 300 million yuan in annual output value and bring in 15 million yuan in tax revenue to Ordos.
