Ordos hosts $3.46b project

The government of Ordos signed a cooperation agreement with Sinopec Great Wall Energy and Chemical Co at a ceremony on July 23.
During the signing ceremony, the government of Inner Mongolia autonomous region also signed a deal with Sinopec Group to strengthen their partnership.
According to the agreement, which is valued at $3.46 billion, Sinopec Great Wall Energy and Chemical Co will build a factory at the Ordos Dalu Industrial Park.
The factory will use the city’s abundant supply of coal to produce 800,000 tons of polyethylene and polypropylene a year.
