Ordos honors efforts to fight poverty

The city of Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region has honored a list of individuals for their efforts to tackle poverty during a meeting of the city’s poverty-alleviation program, on March 18. 

Senior leaders of the city, relevant officials from the city’s 736 villages, and a number of other representatives all won praise from the local government.

The event was designed to pay tribute to officials tackling poverty in under-developed villages, and representatives from companies that offer financial help to develop impoverished areas.

A total of 120 individuals and 30 companies were honored at the meeting.
