Ordos reaps projects at Qingdao investment fair

The city of Ordos signed deals on 33 investment projects at an investment attraction fair held in Qingdao, Shandong province, on June 21.
The fair was organized by the Inner Mongolia Department of Commerce and Ordos government.
Siqinbilige, mayor of Ordos, Xue Qingguo, vice-mayor of Qingdao, addressed the fair, which was presided over by Yu Renjie, vice-mayor of Ordos.
In Siqinbilige’s speech, he said that Ordos is currently striving to build a modern demonstration city for energy economy and pushing for high-quality growth.
Ordos has a long history of partnership with Qingdao and other cities in Shandong, the mayor said, adding that he hoped that more people from Shandong would invest in Ordos.
Siqinbilige made a pledge that Ordos government would provide a favorable environment for all who choose to come invest in the city.
Xue said that the event provided a platform for facilitating the cooperation between entrepreneurs in the two cities.
He expressed his hope that Ordos would show more care and support for Qingdao investors.
The fair was attended by more than 400 representatives from more than 30 commerce associations and 181 companies.
Ordos companies signed on 33 cooperation projects worth 83 billion yuan ($12 billion).
