An athlete from Ordos secured the first gold medal for the city on Feb 18, at the ongoing second Inner Mongolia Winter Games which started in Hulunbuir, on Feb 16.

The winner Temuer defeated all the other contestants in the category of men’s alpine skiing, winning the first championship for Ordos at this year’s regional winter games. 

Temuer is a policeman working at Ordos Public Security Bureau, who likes to spend his spare time practicing skiing. He is a first-grade skiing referee at the national level, and also an instructor of a national social skiing training program. 

On the same day, Ordos snow soccer teams defeated the teams from Hailar district in Hulunbuir.
