Soccer teams from Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, secured two championships in two different categories of the game at the 2019 Inner Mongolia “Football Television Power Cup” Belt and Road International Youth Football Winter Camp that concluded in Ereenhot, Inner Mongolia, on Jan 26.

Ordos’ teams triumphed in the categories of men’s U 14 and U12 competitions, and the women’s team claimed fourth place following seven days of intense competition.

This is the first time for Ordos to win the championship at the event, and it is also the only city claiming a double victory among the 12 cities and leagues in Inner Mongolia.

Ordos has attached great importance to promoting the development of soccer among teenagers since 2014 when Inner Mongolia was recognized by the national authority as China’s first region for developing soccer as a sport with priority.

The Belt and Road International Youth Football Winter Camp has been held in Inner Mongolia for five consecutive years, attracting young players from China, Russia, Serbia, Japan, South Korea, North Korea, and other countries and regions in Asia to take part in.
